The official CAO points for any individual student are calculated by the Central Applications Office after Leaving Cert results are released in August. Our calculator cannot account for:

  • Any changes to the official points scale made after our last update
  • Special circumstances, accredited grades, or repeat results
  • Bonus points schemes other than the Higher Level Maths bonus
  • Subject restrictions or minimum grade requirements for specific courses

Always verify your official CAO points at cao.ie after your results are released. Do not make important decisions based solely on this calculator’s output.
